NAICC's Certified Professional Crop Consultant - Researcher program is now available to qualified contract researchers. As an added bonus, EPA recently acknowledged the new NAICC researcher certification program as also exempted from certain portions of the WPS. In 1995, EPA exempt certified crop consultants and employees (CPCC-I) under their direct supervision from certain portions of the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) (40CFR170). The CPCC-I and CPCC-R program are now both included in this exemption. Visit www.epa.gov/edockets under docket number OPP-2003-0239 to review the offical EPA documents. Dual certification is also available for those who are already CPCC-I certified. To become certified as a CPCC-I and CPCC-R you will need to: Fill out the following sections of the CPCC-R application. Applicant Information NAICC Membership Status Research Experience License Pesticide Safety Training Authorization And Signature Submit with application a copy of their Category 10 (or state research and demonstration) license. Submit initial certification fee of $50 for the second certification. Renewals would be $40 for one certification or $65 for dual. Information on the CPCC-R program can be found HERE
